Yachats Community Presbyterian Church Staff

Rev. Robert J. Barrett, Pastor

Bob, as he likes to be called, was called to serve as YCPC's pastor on Sunday, September 7, 2014. His first Sunday in church was October 19.

Bob grew up Roman Catholic, and it is there that he felt the first stirrings of a call in his life. As a teenager, Bob's family joined a Lutheran congregation, and later still he joined the Methodist church. Bob has been actively involved in youth ministry and preaching his entire adult life.

In 2005, Bob could no longer deny the call to ordained ministry and attended seminary in Tulsa, OK. During this time he discovered the Presbyterian Church (USA) and transferred his membership. Bob has been actively involved in the PC (USA) for nearly seven years, serving the congregation of First Presbyterian Church in Caldwell, KS as their part-time pastor.

Bob graduated from Phillips Theological Seminary in May of 2012 and was ordained by the Presbytery of Southern Kansas as a Chaplain the Wesley Medical Center Clinical Pastoral Education Program.

Bob is very pleased to be serving as pastor of Yachats Community Presbyterian Church.
